The Mound

This is a picture Juliet took of Joey B. I thought it turned out great, especially in black and white. It was taken on "the Mound" on our property in Pilot Grove. The Mound is probably the nicest spot on the property, a little tree covered hill scattered with stones that pops out of nowhere. It has some of the only southern exposure on the property, and some very rich soil off of the northern slope. In the summer, it always seems to have a nice breeze and be relatively free of mosquitos. We hope to build some sort of cabin out there eventually.

Halloween

This year Row Row was a leopard! We didn't go trick or treating as it was too friggin' cold once the sun went down, instead we stayed home and handed out candy, with mixed results. He loved seeing the kids, BUT ended up having candy for dinner ;) Here he is nesting in the grass

This is a little dynamite storage bunker from the construction of the rail line on the Katy Trail in Rocheport
Late season snake, soaking up the last of the heat for the year. It got well into the 70's, excellent hiking weather :)
