Lupus Chili-fest

This past weekend we all headed down the river to the Lupus Chilifest. Lupus is a tiny town (the sign says population 29!) on the banks of the Missouri. What an interesting little gathering of people it was! As you can see in the first photo, the railroad runs right through town, and every so often one would rumble by throughout the night. They say that if you live there, you get so used to the noise from the trains that if you leave you can't sleep without it! Most people camped right next to the tracks, but we met up with some new friends who showed us a lovely little secret spot away in a nearby field. It felt so nice to camp again, under a full moon no less! :) There were some great bands, I wish I could remember what any of them were called!
