Child labor

Rowan was hard at work last weekend, helping his dad move the remains of our campsite from last year. He takes his work so seriously, I was really impressed by his ability to move one of the big carport poles by himself! His latest, um, phase (we hope) is that he is PETRIFIED by the idea of taking a bath. He's always hated having his hair washed, but now the mere mention of the word "bath" sends him into a tailspin. Why? I'm not sure what happened, maybe soap in his eyes, maybe water up his nose, who knows. I have had to cut his hair to prevent the formation of a "uni-dread" Any suggestions? Help!
The weather has really been aweful. I know I shouldn't complain, at least we don't live in...(Detroit, Wisconsin, Toronto, Antarctica, etc) but damnit, I thought it was supposed to be spring??? And so did all the poor fruit trees, they're the real losers in all of this. Where's global warming when you need it?
Finally, I would like to say a few words on the passing of Kurt Vonnegut. His books changed my perception of so many things: the Galapagos Islands, apocalyptic events, zoos, space travel, World War II. I know he would have a good laugh if he could see how many people were writing the words: "Well, Kurt Vonnegut is in heaven now with the angels" Rest in peace Kurt.
So it goes.

Around our yard

This kid LOVES the camera! Notice the shorts, it was really warm yesterday, yaay! A cold front just blew through today though, oh well. So long as it doesn't snow, I'll keep what's left of my sanity! The little violet below is so tiny, only a couple inches tall. So cute

Closeup of a dandelion, an excellent spring tonic. Tonifying herbs are used to cleanse the system, and can help with poor digestion, skin troubles, low energy levels, etc.
