Holy smokes, it's been a month since I updated! No I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, just went into hibernation. I haven't even been taking pictures. I am SO tired of the following: brown, grey, snow, ice, mid-continental living, surfing the net, morning sickness, and coldness! Sorry, I guess I have a little of the winter blues. I hear it can't last forever, but I'm starting to wonder now that I hear it may snow again this weekend, and the ice never did melt off our back porch from like 2 months ago!!! Ugh, if I were back on the coast we would be gathering nettles right about now and watching the daffodils bloom. But no, they had to go through a damn real estate boom, bastards! Well, it's my blog and I'll bitch if I want to (even if I do lose the few loyal fans who are reading) I have a fragile grasp on my sanity, which I am maintaining by planning next year's garden. More berries and fewer veggies is the direction I'm heading in my little space. Somehow strawberries just hold a stronger appeal than say, onions! I have been doing a little seed trading and got a beautiful selection of tomato seeds from a nice guy in Australia. Black ones, yellow ones, even a green variety, oh I can't wait! And I am hoping that the Romanesco broccoli will work out too, I hear it can be a difficult one to grow. It is so psychedelic looking, with bright chartreuse green spirals. Groovy man. Oh I forgot to explain the pics. Above you see a fossil that I found the last time we hiked the creek (a long time ago!) And below you see your fix of Row Row, looking sweet and innocent (it's all a part of his plan MWOO HOO HA HA!) He has been handling this whole being housebound thing much better than his momma, fortunately- kids really do adapt! Imagination comes in handy ;)
